Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to some of your most common questions

What are the donor requirements?

All our donors are between the ages of 18 and 30. The donor completes an application that is then reviewed by our team. They must meet certain height and weight requirements and pass both a medical and psychological evaluation. We only show you the high quality donors

What are the surrogate requirements?

Surrogates are between the ages of 21 and 44. They must meet certain height and weight requirements. They must have delivered at least one child without complications and had an overall healthy pregnancy. They are screened both medically and psychologically to ensure they are capable of a healthy pregnancy

Can I know the blood type of my donor?

Yes, if you choose Egg Bank eggs we have her blood type already. If you choose a fresh donor cycle we can find out the blood type for you.

Do all your donors have a college education?

No not all of our donors, but when we are recruiting donors we have a high emphasis on college educated women. If you are looking for a college educated donor we have that for you.

What is the difference between a fresh donor cycle and the Egg Bank eggs?

In a fresh donor cycle you choose a donor before her eggs are retrieved. She will go through an egg retrieval cycle and eggs are fertilized before being frozen. If you select our Egg Bank eggs the donor has already had her retrieval and her eggs are frozen here at our location. You select your donor and eggs can be fertilized right away.

What is PGS testing?

Preimplantation genetic screening (PGS) is the genetic testing of embryos before implantation. PGS is the analysis for chromosome abnormalities to ensure a healthy embryo and a viable pregnancy. Pregnancy rates for embryos transferred after PGS testing is much higher than in embryos that are not PGS tested before transfer.

Can I meet the surrogate before selecting her?

Yes! We encourage all our Intended Parents and surrogates to meet or at least skype before moving forward.

Do you run a background check on your surrogates?

Yes, all of our surrogates will have a background check completed.

Am I able to do sex selection with donor eggs?

Yes. With PGS testing of the embryos you are able to know the sex before transfer

What if I live out of the country?

Many of our Intended Parents are from out of the country. We can arrange everything for you. You will just need to provide the sperm sample before fertilization. You can travel to us for that, or we can even arrange for the sperm to be shipped to us. If you are using a surrogate you will only need to be here to get your baby. We can arrange for pre-birth orders and visas.
